RedState: Karzai Gets it. Why don't Democrats?

This from RedState.  It's a good point.

Karzai Gets it. Why don’t Democrats?

Often it is best to let a finite number of words replace extensive textual remarks. When a person speaks from comprehensive experience and erudite knowledge, listening becomes a necessary skill. This approach clears the mind and provides a basis for intellectual discovery and observation.

Read on...

All too often, this daedal approach is lost in the confusion created by ignominious actions. This is especially true in our democratic republic during a campaign season, when representatives refuse to hear the majority of citizens. Thus is the situation we are in today as Democrats struggle to regain relevance amongst the populace. It appears that tactically, Democrat Party plans for November include more parochial disclosures of classified information, riling up the anti war base, planning for impeachment hearings, encouraging waves of trolls to attack blogs and other nefarious activities that confuse the populace and keep us from being safe. I posit this is not a plan, but the actions of a party so disconnected with our countries majority they can not formulate coherent policy.

This is not the case for appreciative and intelligent people such as the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai. Watching somewhat in disbelief as the press pursued the New York Times latest classified exposure of select NIE data, Mr. Karzai made the following remark;

Terrorism was hurting us way before Iraq or September 11 ... These extremist forces were killing people in Afghanistan for years, closing schools, burning mosques, killing children, uprooting vineyards," Karzai said. "They came to America on September 11, but they were attacking you before September 11 in other parts of the world. We are a witness in Afghanistan.

"Do you forget people jumping off the 80th floor or 70th floor when the planes hit them? Can you imagine what it will be for a man or woman to jump from that high?" Karzai asked recalling some of the more shocking scenes from the World Trade Center bombing. "How do we get rid of them? ... Should we wait for them to come and kill us again?"

I will let his remarks stand for themselves. Perhaps the Democrats can learn something.

THe Democrats may get it, but that will not win them an election, there are some within the democratic party that are so blinded by hate for the president that they can't see anything clearly. This is why we get such biased reporting. It is unfortunate that the press can't just report the news in a non biased way and let the people decide. It is sad to that our representatives can't see what people from other countries can clearly see. They instead would rather run to the polls and see what is popular and go with whatever direction the wind blows them. They have no morals, ethics or standards so they are able to go with the flow and never stand up for what they believe in reguardless of popular opinion.

Whoever this Karzai is, (I haven't heard of him before, I don't keep track) he sounds like he is keeping in touch with reality.  It is about time someone stopped the "can't we all just get along...  routine)  We can't.  Deal with it.

Unfortunately, I must agree.  Democrats seem to be so lax and hold little moral fortitude for the rest of us to follow.  Even the people who like the democratic state cannot deny the fact that they are spineless and self indulgent.  Bottom line, they would not defend any cause that they endorsed.  If we would have had a democrat in office during 9/11 then we probably would not have gone to war, and would have had further attacks on us since then.  I am pretty sure there is a reason that we have Bush/Republican party in power.  I think it all has something to do with...
Oh yeah, protecting our freedom, rather than intoxicating themselves in it to the point of self destruction.

Bias reporting? You must mean FOX news, Rush Limbaugh and many other Right wing media members.

Democrats won world war two and the korean war for those who have short memories.

Just because I believe Bush is completely totaly and incontestably up in the night when it comes to the war on terror, doesn't mean I am soft on terroists. It was another RIGHT WING commetator to this blog that wined about not going into pakistan.  I would have followed Osama to the ends of the earth to put his head on a pike.  For those slow of wit, yes I know this would not stop terroism, but you can make the same argument for stopping the death penalty.  I would have hunted OSAMA down as quickly as humanly possible so that others would know how serious we are in striking directly back at those that harm us.  If OSAMA was dead immediatly it might give people pause when planning attacks.  If it didn't the deterence is of no value and we should end the death penalty immediatly.

No, Bush has commited strategic errors that have made us less safe both physically and economically because he has no understanding of geopolitics.

And don't call me spineless. I served this country in time of war. Did you? Bush did not. He got his rich daddy to get him out of harms way.  I volunteered.
