You only win wars fighting for something, not against something.

I just thought of that phrase the other day, and didn't want to forget it, so i posted it here.  How true it is though!

If you are fighting for freedom, for family, for something, you are always on the advantage of those fighting against something.

Al qaeda fights against the American infidel.

I hope we are fighting to secure freedom for the world, and not against terrorist.  That's where we need to take this war.

Chavez is paranoid, We are not going to invade Venezuela for their oil. If we wanted to invade Venezuela his pathetic little army will not be able to do any real damage. Most would probably just surrender so as to not be killed. I don't believe they are so loyal to Chavez that they wouldn't surrender. I have spoken with my cousin who is currently serving his 2nd or 3rd tour in Iraq and he says that the soldiers feel they are there fighting for the freedom of the Iraq and it's people. The war on terror is not a war just against Terrorist it is a war for the freedom of the world. The Terrorist want to eliminate all of those that don't believe as they do, not just the US or Jews but all people who don't believe as they do. That is why they are willing to kill their own.

One thing we need to understand is that those who oppose the US and the West do in fact fight FOR something. We need to keep this in mind so that we do not underestimate the resolve of those who would see the fall of the West.
