California isn't what is used to be.

So i just got back from a long weekend from California.  Down visiting family for the holliday.  No internet connection to speak of, so i was bloggless.

I spent the week in Orange County, LA county and a day at Legoland.  You would think California would be leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of us, concidering it is jam packed with "Progressives".  I know this because when i went to buy a balloon for my wifes birthday, they said it was against the law for them to sell it without a wieght attached, cause a fligh away balloon had caused a power outage. Sounds like progressive thinking to me.

(One would think to fix the power problems, not ban rouge balloons, the then again, i'm not smart enough to think progressive)

After hearing of several things of that nature, i knew California was a changing.

I was also a little taken back when i went to get fast food and the lady's english, that took my order was so bad, i could barely understand her.  Then at the end of the order, she just switched into half spanish to tell me thank you, pull ahead.  I don't know if it was more disturbing that she just assumed i would understand her spanish, or the fact that i understood her spanish.

All in all, lets just say, if California is what we are "Progressing" toward.  I don't want it.

That's it!  We're going after California with hordes of balloons!  Come one, come all, to the destruction of civilization!  Bring all of the balloons and helium that you can carry, and watch the masses scatter in panic!

I better not be the only one singing 99 Red Balloons...

Splitt, you may think this was funny, but I when I read Goose's comment I had a vision of him dressed like Nena in her 80's MTV video 99 Luftballons. It wasn't funny at all :)
